Santa Cruz relaxed over future

Striker Roque Santa Cruz has suggested he will be happy to stay at Blackburn Rovers should an anticipated move away from Ewood Park not materialise.

The Paraguay international was denied a January move to Manchester City after the two clubs failed to reach agreement over a fee.

Santa Cruz made just a handful of appearances during the second half of the season after struggling with a knee injury, but claims he will not push Rovers for a transfer should City not come back with a fresh offer.

The 27-year-old hit-man is believed to have a buy-out clause of around £17million written into his contract.

"A signed document stipulates that there's a lot of money to pay to take me away from Blackburn," he said.

"If they don't want to sell me, then I must complete my contract and continue with them. I am under contract until 2012."
