Sam admits attacking concern

Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce has admitted he is struggling for attacking players at a vital point in the season.

Rovers are still plagued by lingering fears of relegation in 14th place in the table and are likely to be without injured trio Roque Santa Cruz, Jason Roberts and Morten Gamst Pedersen for Saturday's clash with Liverpool.

"We are still waiting on Morten at the moment, but we have got Vince (Grella) back in the line-up," Allardyce told the club's official website.

"He got a good 60 minutes or so in the reserves on Monday night, so he's got no problems now.

"There are positive signs with Roque, as there has been a good improvement. It is a little slower than we would have expected.

"We'll just have a look at all of the injuries and see what we've got available.

"Some of the younger end, like your Keith Treacy's and your Martin Olsson's might play a part at some stage.

"Aaron Doran, Nick Blackman and Andy Haworth, people like that, who train with us on a regular basis and I see quite a lot of I'm glad to say, would have to come into the situation."
