Blackburn Rovers are waiting on a scan to discover the extent of an injury suffered by midfielder Robbie Savage.
Savage was replaced midway through Sunday's 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur with possible cartilage damage and could face a spell on the sidelines.
Second-half strikes from Benni McCarthy and Christopher Samba secured the points for Rovers at White Hart Lane.
"He's going to have a scan on Monday," manager Mark Hughes told the club's official website.
"The feeling is that he may have damaged his cartilage, so we'll have a look at that.
"Hopefully we'll get some good news, but it could be that he may need a small operation just to tidy something up."
Speaking about the victory, he added: "The result was tough for Spurs. We didn't play as well has we have done over the last couple of weeks.
"We struggled to get a foothold in the game. We got away with it and although I wasn't too happy at half-time, at 0-0 we felt we could get something."
