Rovers Target Bentley?

Reports in some Sunday papers have Rovers linked with a move for old boy David Bentley from Tottenham.

Bentley left Rovers in 2008 to go to White Hart Lane, at the time he cost the London based outfit £15million.

But Bentley has not exactly made a massive impression since joining Spurs; he has made just 42 appearances. He has however been out on loan to Birmingham City and West Ham as well as a spell at FC Rostov.

Michael Appleton is looking for an initial loan deal with a view to a permanent move, but there is his £50,000 a week wages to bear in mind.
