Blackburn Rovers have received a major injury blow on the eve of their biggest week of the season with the news that Morten Gamst Pedersen has been ruled out of action for around ten days.
Pedersen proved his importance to Rovers' cause with both goals in last weekend's 2-1 victory over Sheffield United.
But the Norway international will miss Saturday's Premiership meeting with Everton, the UEFA Cup trip to face Bayer Leverkusen and next weekend's FA Cup fifth round meeting with either Arsenal or Bolton through injury.
Pedersen damaged his hamstring in Norway's 2-1 defeat to Croatia on Wednesday evening.
"Morten is not looking good at the moment and is going to be out for ten or 11 days," confirmed Rovers boss Mark Hughes.
"It is a blow for us because of the important week we have ahead."
