Rovers display pleases Ince

Blackburn Rovers manager Paul Ince was determined to look for the positives from his side's 3-1 home defeat at the hands of Premier League leaders Liverpool. Ince's side have now gone ten league games without a win and are deep in trouble near the foot of the table. However, an upbeat Ince commented: "It was an exceptional performance. We have not got the three points, but we have to take some positives from the game. "It is always difficult against Liverpool, but we matched them for long spells and that was pleasing. "The scoreline was harsh, but this might be the step we need to push on and get up the table. "The players put in a performance and so did the supporters, they were exceptional. "That has given me a lot of hope and put a smile on my face. It shows that the players want to play for me."
