Rovers close on double deal

Blackburn Rovers are close to agreeing deals for a pair of South American midfielders, Ecuador's Segundo Castillo and Chilean Carlos Villanueva.
Twenty-six-year-old Castillo is currently with Rovers on their pre-season tour of Germany and has impressed manager Paul Ince with his efforts to date.
He told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph: "He's trained with us.
"He had a 20-hour flight to get here, so it was hard to really analyse him or have an opinion on him after the first day of training.
"But we've got the chance to have a closer look at him and then we'll go from there.
"I'm sure he's good enough to play at this level, but you don't just buy players on people's hearsay."
Meanwhile, Rovers chairman John Williams has confirmed that Villanueva is close to agreeing a season-long loan move from Audax Italiano.
He added: "We have an agreement in principle with both the club and the player, but there are a couple of issues which still need to be resolved."
