Roque still wants Rovers exit

Paraguay striker Roque Santa Cruz has reiterated his desire to leave Blackburn Rovers at the end of the season.

Santa Cruz, 27, was the subject of several unsuccessful bids from Manchester City in January and remained at Ewood Park despite admitting he was keen to join a 'bigger club'.

The South American hitman is currently injured and has struggled to recapture the form which brought him 23 goals in Rovers colours last season.

However, he remains hopeful of finally securing a move away from Blackburn during the summer.

"I would not mind moving on, if it was a big team and if the conditions were right," Santa Cruz told Paraguayan radio.

"People are interested in what is going to happen to players next season.

"Rumours come from somewhere, but there is nothing official."
