    Repeat display would suit Dunn

    14 Oct 2009 - 09:53:04

Blackburn Rovers midfielder David Dunn hopes his side can thrash Burnley once again this weekend.

In April 2001, Rovers annihilated their local rivals 5-0 and Dunn is hoping for a repeat performance on Sunday in the first meeting of the two clubs in the top-flight since 1966.

He said: "People who aren't from here probably won't get it, but it's a big derby. As soon as the lads go out there they'll know it's a special game.

"Burnley are obviously doing quite well but we really want to get one over them. If you can't get up for this game then you may as well give up.

"The last time I played against them we won 5-0 and I'm hoping that's the case again now.

"Half of my mates are Burnley fans and half of them are Blackburn fans. I probably don't pick the phone up so much to the Burnley ones!

"But the bragging rights will certainly be at stake."
