Blackburn Rovers defender Andy Todd has had his appeal against the red card he was shown in the 3-0 defeat at Portsmouth upheld.
Referee Alan Wiley dismissed Todd for a professional foul after he appeared to bring down Kanu in the penalty area in the final minute of the game.
Television replays showed the Rovers skipper played the ball before making any contact with Kanu and a Football Association disciplinary commission opted to rescind the card.
Todd is now free to play in Blackburn's home game against Everton on Wednesday.
