NAC Breda claim that two Premier League clubs lead the chase for their Netherlands Under-21s striker, Maceo Rigters.
The 23-year-old former Heerenveen and Dordrecht frontman was the top scorer in the recent European Under-21 championships, helping Holland to victory on home soil.
That sparked talk of interest from Celtic and Rangers, but Breda director of football, Earnie Stewart, says that English clubs are at the head of the queue.
He told BBC Sport: "I can confirm that neither Celtic nor Rangers have bid for Maceo Rigters.
"The only two offers have come from the English Premier League.
"If Maceo and/or his agent want to reveal the clubs, that's a matter for them, but NAC Breda won't comment other than to confirm there have been two English bids for him."
