Blackburn Rovers' promising German winger Sergio Peter has signed a new three-year contract with the Ewood Park club.
The 20-year-old is now under contract with Rovers until the summer of 2010, having made just over 20 appearances for the club since his first-team bow in January 2006.
Meanwhile, veteran Turkish midfielder Tugay is hoping to extend his stay with Rovers, with his current deal set to expire this summer.
He told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph: "I think I can continue for two more years at this level.
"I am hoping to stay as the Premiership is currently where every player wants to be.
"The club has become like a second family to me. I am happy both on and off the pitch. There has never been any reason for me to want to leave here."
Tugay, now 36, joined Blackburn in the summer of 2001 from SPL giants Rangers, having made his name in his homeland with Galatasaray.
