On-loan striker Shabani Nonda has urged Blackburn Rovers to sign him on a permanent basis from AS Roma.
Nonda netted a vital late goal in Rovers' 3-2 UEFA Cup last 32 first leg defeat at Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday night.
The DR Congo hitman came off the bench and struck a decisive second goal for Mark Hughes' side before revealing he is looking to sign a permanent contract at Ewood Park.
"I have to show the club that they should try to sign me on a permanent basis" confirmed Nonda.
"There are still 12 or 13 matches remaining this season for me to do as well as I can and prove myself.
"I am happy with Blackburn and I love the English league. I do everything I can to stay here.
"My goal against Leverkusen has totally changed the balance of the tie. That is without a doubt the most important goal that I scored for this team."
Nonda has bagged six goals for Rovers since arriving on a season-long loan from the Serie A club in the summer.
