Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce has praised the impact made at Ewood Park by summer recruit Steven N'Zonzi.
The 20-year-old Frenchman has scored once in eight appearances since his arrival from Amiens, with Allardyce having expected the player to take a little longer to adjust to life in England.
He told the Lancashire Telegraph: "Steven is a surprise because we didn't expect to blood him on such a consistent basis as we have done.
"He has taken the chance with both hands. We managed to take him out for a bit because he looked a bit tired, but he has come back with a vengeance.
"He will be noted for the aerial dominance that he possesses, but he has a lot more than that. He will grow into it even more as he gets older and gets more mature.
"We have a young side, which is good. We will develop over the next few months and we will get better and better."
