Mokoena seeks Rovers exit

Blackburn Rovers defender Aaron Mokoena has stated his determination to leave the club at the end of this season.

The South Africa international will be playing for his country in the Confederations Cup this June - the perfect opportunity for the 28-year-old to advertise his availability.

"I am definitely leaving Blackburn. I always want to play but I cannot change the coach's decision," Mokoena, who has started just five games this season, told the South African Times.

"I want a club where I can get enough game time. I am 28 years old and need to play on a regular basis."

The former Ajax centre-back also admitted that he won't yet be looking to return to play in the Premier Soccer League in South Africa.

"It is still early for me to come home and play in the PSL," he added.

"I have been in Europe for 11 years and have acclimatised to the demands."
