Kean Looking For A Good Start Against Stoke

Under fire Rovers boss Steve Kean must have been taking a few lessons in football as he has worked out that his side needs to get off to a good start against Stoke City on Saturday

Trying to catch the Potters of guard could be the ideal way of winning this game and there is none more desperate to win a game than Kean who would almost certainly rub it in to Rovers fans who he just keeps on upsetting.

In fairness Rovers have picked up three draws on the bounce away from home although last weekend’s effort had a few dubious tactics to say the least.

Now Kean is anxious to see his side hit the goal trail again against an ever-weakening Stoke side and this time grab a win.

"When you go away from home and you score that amount of goals you expect to win," said Kean on the club's official website."At Wigan, to come from behind with ten men, you say that is a good point. But against Norwich it was a real tough one. That is the flip side of football."What we are looking to do is what we have been doing on the road, to be positive, to try and get the first goal and we feel that with the away games we've had we should have had a couple of wins."The Scot knows how important the first goal can be in tight games and wants to put an end to the club's recent poor record at Stoke, where they have lost on their last three visits without scoring."So lets go to Stoke and try and get the first goal, they aren't in the best form and it hasn't been the best ground for us in the past, but I don't believe in any type of hoodoo," he added."They've got a different team, we've got a different team so lets be positive like we have been."
