Kean expects big things of Hoilett
Blackburn manager Steve Kean believes he has a real match-winner in Junior Hoilett and just needs the 20-year-old to grow in confidence. The Canadian-born forward, who has been at the club since the age of 13, succeeded where many of his team-mates had failed in scoring the only goal to defeat QPR in their FA Cup third round tie at Ewood Park.It helped Hoilett win his second successive man-of-the-match award, having been the stand-out player in the midweek win over Liverpool. His only other goal came in a Carling Cup tie in August 2009 but Kean believes the player can become an important part of Rovers' future."He is certainly a quality player but he's not had a consistent run in the team," said the manager. "We see it every day in training how he moves the ball and he is playing with confidence and a bit of a spring in his step."I hope he's starting to find his consistency. We've said to him to not stop trying and to not stop trying to get on the ball. Hopefully we have got him in a vein of form. He is a match-winner."
