Ince still keen to strengthen

Paul Ince has revealed he is still keen to improve 'one or two areas' of his Blackburn Rovers squad before the transfer window closes.

Ince has already signed England goalkeeper Paul Robinson, Danny Simpson on loan from Manchester United, Australia international Vince Grella and Keith Andrews from MK Dons since arriving at Ewood Park in July.

Promising youngsters Julio Santa Cruz and Carlos Villaneuva have also arrived at the Lancashire club in recent weeks.

But despite the clutch of arrivals, the Rovers chief still wants to further bolster his squad before Monday's transfer deadline.

"We never stop looking and if we can do more business before the deadline then we will," Ince told the club's official website.

"There are probably one or two areas where we would still like to strengthen, but I am very pleased with the business we have been able to do."
