New Blackburn Rovers boss Paul Ince is relishing making his first return to West Ham United despite being guaranteed a frosty reception at his former club.
Ince regularly received a hostile reception on his return to his first club with the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool.
He left the Hammers to join the Old Trafford club in controversial circumstances in 1989.
Ince will return to east London as Rovers manager on August 30 and the former Macclesfield and MK Dons chief cannot wait.
"I looked at the fixtures and noticed straight away that West Ham was the third game," he said.
"The trip to Upton Park was the one that stood out to me for some reason. I can't think why.
"But we've got Everton and Hull to play before then it will be an exciting time for me.
"Not long ago I was thinking about games against Darlington and Rochdale, no disrespect to them.
"Now here I am looking at when we are going to be playing against Manchester United and Chelsea - and West Ham, of course."
