    Ince: No more Rovers exits

    17 Aug 2008 - 12:08:03

Blackburn Rovers boss Paul Ince has attempted to end speculation surrounding the future of Roque Santa Cruz after insisting there will be no more departures from Ewood Park.

Ince has already seen David Bentley leave for Spurs since he replaced Mark Hughes in the managerial hot-seat earlier in the summer.

Strikers Santa Cruz and Benni McCarthy plus full-back Stephen Warnock have all been linked with departures before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.

But speaking after Rovers' opening-day 3-2 victory at Everton, Ince insisted he wouldn't be losing any more members of his first-team squad.

He said: "I do not want to keep saying this, but nobody is going to be leaving the club.

"This has been going on and on about Santa Cruz and other people. The more you keep on about it the more it unsettles what we are trying to achieve.

"We want to keep our best players, be it Santa Cruz, Warnock or McCarthy and any one of a dozen players.

"Let's dispel all this. No-one is leaving the club, we have had a really good start in this game.

"We have won at Everton and not many teams do that apart from the top four. It was a great achievement."
