Blackburn Rovers boss Mark Hughes has dismissed rumours suggesting that veteran midfielder Robbie Savage could be allowed to leave the club in the near future.
The 33-year-old former Wales international has not featured in Rovers' last three games, but Hughes says that Savage is still a key member of the Ewood Park squad.
He told The Sun: "Robbie hasn't had a great deal of football because he's come back very, very quickly from injury. I'll make changes and use the squad if I can.
"His game is based on high energy and at some point maybe that will tail off, but I see no signs of that.
"Robbie is a key part of the squad, but he must understand to get in the side now is tough.
"I've got a lot of players who are desperate to play and I can't play everybody. I've got to pick a team that can hopefully win Premier League games."
Savage has scored three times in 97 appearances for Rovers since his arrival from Birmingham City in January 2005.
