Blackburn Rovers boss Mark Hughes had to be content with a point after seeing his side earn a 1-1 draw at Tottenham Hotspur.
The result at White Hart Lane left Rovers' European hopes hanging by a thread, with the evening further soured by the late dismissal of Jason Roberts after being booked twice in a minute by referee Rob Styles.
Hughes commented: "I thought we were excellent in the first half, trapping Tottenham in areas they didn't want to be and also creating chances ourselves.
"We were good value for our lead. We are disappointed with their goal because we weren't under huge pressure.
"It wasn't to be, but overall I felt it was probably a drawn game and that was as much as either team could expect.
"The only disappointment on the night was the sending-off of Jason Roberts.
"I felt it was unnecessary and it has just taken the edge of things."
