Blackburn Rovers manager Mark Hughes is confident his side will push
Liverpool all the way in Sunday's Anfield clash between the two teams.
Hughes' side have lost only four of their 16 away games in the Premier League this term and the Rovers boss hopes Rafa Benitez's side will still be recovering from their three recent clashes with Arsenal.
He told Blackburn's official website "Liverpool will know it's a difficult fixture in their calendar.
"We take pride in the fact that people view us as a difficult team to overcome.
"They've got the resources to cope with the amount of games that they're involved in, but we hope to catch them on a poor day.
"We'll play well - I'm sure we will - because we invariably do when we go to Anfield. We'll certainly give it our best shot as we always do."
Meanwhile, reports suggest South African striker Benni McCarthy has agreed a new three-year deal with the club.
