Hughes laments cup lapses

Blackburn Rovers boss Mark Hughes blamed a defensive downturn for Tuesday's Carling Cup quarter-final defeat to Arsenal.
Rovers bounced back from a 2-0 half-time deficit to force extra-time before eventually losing 3-2 to an Eduardo winner at Ewood Park.
And following Saturday's surprise 5-3 defeat at the hands of Wigan Athletic, Hughes was left to lament his side's defensive troubles.
"We are disappointed with the way we have defended for all the goals," he said.
"At the moment we're finding it very difficult to give ourselves a platform which enables us to win games.
"It was the same at the weekend. We're conceding too many goals from poor situations but then showing great courage and determination to get back on level terms.
"The effort that we are expending on getting back on level terms is ultimately costing us.
"We have a tendency to just switch off again and teams can capitalise on that.
"That's what has happened again."
