Blackburn Rovers boss Mark Hughes thinks his squad is now deep enough to cope with the long season ahead.
The former Wales manager has added numbers to his squad since succeeding Graeme Souness as Ewood Park boss almost three years ago and is confident going in to the new campaign.
He said: "People look at our squad and think it's really strong but that's because I've got numbers and everybody's fit.
"We all know that it's a 50/60 game season and we're going to lose players through injury and suspension. That always happens.
"So people have to be ready to come in and do a job which I think, with the strength we've got this year, we'll be able to achieve."
Hughes' only injury concern going into the opening game against Middlesbrough is Bruno Berner, who suffered a foot injury in the friendly against Huddersfield Town.
