Blackburn new boy Benni McCarthy earned high praise from manager Mark Hughes after opening his Rovers account with a goal in the 1-1 draw with Everton at Ewood Park.
The South Africa international striker, a summer recruit from FC Porto, netted the opening goal against the Toffees and impressed Hughes with his link-up play with Jason Roberts.
"It was a good goal by Benni and his link-up play with Jason was excellent," Hughes commented.
"We have just got to get him in positions where he has an opportunity to strike at goal. If we can get him in those positions, more often than not he will score for us.
"He is a natural goalscorer. He scored from a half chance, he knew exactly what he had to do.
"It is great for him he is off the mark and able to celebrate his home debut with a goal."
