Blackburn Rovers boss Mark Hughes has dismissed rumours linking striker Roque Santa Cruz with a move to Manchester City.
The 26-year-old Paraguayan has scored 14 goals in 26 appearances for the Ewood Park club since his summer arrival from Bayern Munich and Hughes is in no mood to part with one of his key performers.
He told reporters: "I am sure a lot of clubs would like a player of the ability of Roque Santa Cruz.
"I think at this time of the year people make a little bit of mischief.
"The fact he scored two goals against them (City) maybe highlighted him to fans of Manchester City and agents who are circling around.
"Roque is contracted here for another three years after this season, so Roque is not going anywhere."
Santa Cruz has hit top form in recent weeks, scoring eight goals in his last six games in all competitions.
