Blackburn Rovers manager Mark Hughes has rubbished reports of a rift between himself and striker Benni McCarthy.
Stories earlier in the week had suggested the South Africa international reacted angrily to being substitute during last weekend's 3-1 victory over Newcastle United at Ewood Park.
However, Hughes claims there is no problem with his eight-goal striker and he has not had to hold talks to diffuse the situation.
The prolific striker scored 24 times in his first season at Ewood Park following his £2.5million arrival from Porto in summer 2006.
"People keep on telling me that he has stormed off down the tunnel and left the building, so to speak, but I spoke to Benni about it after the game," he said.
"Obviously, he was dressed in his suit because he had been taken off early but he was still there at the end of the game.
"It's just one of those stories where possibly people are trying to make mischief, that's all it was. We're fine."
