Blackburn Rovers striker Paul Gallagher accepts that he is likely to leave the club in the summer, having spent the last two seasons out on loan.
The 24-year-old has shown up well during a lengthy stint with Plymouth Argyle and could be tempted to stay put at Home Park.
He told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph: "I spoke to Paul Sturrock on Saturday and he told me he was going to have a chat with the board and see what they could do.
"I will keep my options open over the summer. I will sit down with my agent, have a chat and see what comes along.
"I'm sure Sam Allardyce has made up his mind already what he wants to do with his team next season. If I have to move on, I have to move on."
Meanwhile, Sochaux's Turkey international striker, Mevlut Erdinc, has claimed that Rovers are one of a number of clubs monitoring his progress.
The 22-year-old told Sky Sports: "There are clubs interested in me.
"I can't talk about them. At the end of the season I will sit with the club (Sochaux) and we will see."
