Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Brad Friedel has penned a two-year extension to his Ewood Park contract.
The 36-year-old former USA international has been a mainstay in the Rovers side since joining on a free transfer from Liverpool in 2000.
Friedel has extended his contract by a further year until June 2010 which means he will complete ten years' service at the Lancashire club.
The veteran keeper has started every league fixture in the last four seasons and racked up his 300th appearance in English football against Everton at the weekend.
He is also Rovers' all-time leading Premier League appearance holder after passing former captain Tim Sherwood's total of 235 last November.
"I'm delighted to have extended the agreement by a further 12 months. It wasn't a difficult decision to make," Friedel told the club's official website.
"Blackburn Rovers is home to me. This is my club and I have a special affinity with it.
"When you sign with a club, you always hope that it will turn out to be long term and that's certainly proved true for me here."
