Dickov braced for Eaves fight
Oldham boss Paul Dickov is preparing himself for offers for teenage striker Tom Eaves, who is fast attracting the attention of bigger clubs. The 18-year-old scored a hat-trick in the Latics pre-season win over Bolton and is rumoured to be a target for a number of Championship and Premier League clubs. Dickov told BBC Radio Manchester: "A lot of people are talking about Tom at the moment. "There are not many 6ft 4in English strikers around so he is going to cost a fair few quid if I cant keep him. "You look at the size of him and the physique he has got and you would think he is a man. He is not, the big man is a baby. "He is learning the game and we are working with him to make him better. Three goals will do him the world of good as he hasn't scored for the first team yet."
