Derbyshire set for Rovers exit

Blackburn Rovers have agreed a fee with Olympiakos to sell striker Matt Derbyshire.

The 23-year-old frontman spent six months on loan with the Greek side last season and is now poised to rejoin them on a permanent basis.

The striker scored 11 goals and helped Olympiakos to a league and cup double last season.

Rovers have accepted a fee in the region of £3million for the former England Under-21 international.

Derbyshire started last season as a first-team regular at Ewood Park but found starting opportunities limited following Sam Allardyce's arrival as manager.

He made 97 appearances during four seasons at Blackburn, scoring 27 goals.
