Preview: Blackburn v Bolton
18 Feb 2010 - 15:15:03
Relegation-threatened Bolton Wanderers travel to Ewood Park on Sunday, hoping to end a poor run of results away from home in the Premier League.
The Trotters have picked up just two points from a possible 24 in their last eight matches on the road in the top-flight and face a Blackburn side full of confidence in front of their own supporters.
Sam Allardyce's side have won their last three games at Ewood Park in the league and will fully expect to increase that run to four.
Bolton travel with some hope however, as only one of the last 17 Premier League meetings between these two sides has seen the home side end victorious.
A strike from David Dunn and an own goal by Sam Ricketts sealed a 2-0 win for Blackburn in their Premier League meeting earlier this season, and Rovers' Swedish star Martin Olsson expects a similar result this time around.
Allardyce and his side have just returned from a training camp in Dubai and Olsson thinks that Blackburn will reap the benefits, saying: "It will be much better now, with warm weather and team bonding.
"I think it will make the team much closer and stronger. We got the three points against Hull and we will take that with us to Bolton."
Bolton will be missing influential defender Gary Cahill after it was discovered that he had a blood clot in his arm, but Zat Knight returned from injury in their midweek 0-0 draw at Wigan Athletic to replace him.
Striker Ivan Klasnic is also nearing a return, but this match could come too early for him to come back in to Owen Coyle's plans.
Blackburn have no fresh injury concerns, but Dunn looks set to miss out with a calf injury.
