Blackburn Rovers

In: Anthony Modeste (Bordeaux, loan, Marcus Olsson (Halmstads, free, Bradley Orr (QPR, undisclosed)

Out: Jason Roberts (Reading, free), Keith Andrews (West Brom, free), Ryan Nelsen (Tottenham, free)

Verdict: Brought in reinforcements to help them in their struggle against relegation. More importantly they kept hold of Samba and Hoilett, both key players they could not afford to lose. Only time will tell if the players brought in will be good enough to change their fortunes, but Steve Kean will need to turn things around quickly if he wants to keep Rovers in the Premier League.
