Chris Samba gets the Blackburn captaincy back after heart-to-heart with Steve Kean

Chris Samba has been reinstated as Blackburn skipper after a heart-to-heart with Steve Kean. The defender was stripped of the armband after saying he wanted to quit in the wake of Sam Allardyce's sacking. However, the Rovers boss has thrashed things out with the Congo star and claims Samba is not angling for a move. Back as skipper: Chris Samba (left) has sorted out his differences with Blackburn boss Steve Kean Kean said: 'The way he explained it to me was really good. He said, 'I've never asked to leave. All I said was that if a bigger club comes in I've aspirations to play in Europe and win things, then it's something I would look at'. 'I stressed that we want to build a squad that gets us into the top half, then next summer we'll make additions to try and challenge the top six. As soon as he heard that he was much more positive.'  Aaron Mokoena: This was the year that changed my life foreverSunderland v BLACKBURN: Mark Bunn to deputise for Paul Robinson in goalBag a bargain in the sales!
