    Blackburn won't rush Dunn

    27 Nov 2008 - 13:08:03

Blackburn Rovers boss Paul Ince will not rush David Dunn back from injury in a bid to halt their current poor run of results.

Dunn, 28, began the new season in impressive fashion after scoring during the opening day 3-2 victory over Everton, but has been sidelined since undergoing surgery on an Achilles problem in late August.

However, despite Rovers slipping into the bottom three of the back of an eight-game winless run in the league, Ince has vowed to be patient with his midfielder's recovery.

"I don't want to put any pressure on Dunny," he told the club's official website.

"He's started running, so we are getting close, but it could be another four or five weeks.

"We are optimistic. He is a key player for us and I think we saw that at the start of the season against Everton.

"He gives us something that no-one else has got and those players are worth their weight in gold, so hopefully he'll be back in four or five weeks."

Meanwhile, Ince claims the mood in the Blackburn camp remains positive despite their disappointing recent form.

"The lads are fine," he continued. "As I've said before, it isn't as if they aren't playing well.

"There is no magic remedy, you just have to work your way through it.

"There are times when we will be down, but we have to get up and come in every morning and work our way through it and we'll be a better team for it once we do that."
