Rovers hope for Hanley boost
Blackburn are hoping to win their appeal against Grant Hanley's weekend dismissal in time for the home game against Brighton.
Defender Hanley, who returned to the side on Saturday following a hamstring injury, was sent off for his challenge on Millwall striker Steve Morison during the 2-2 draw and will be suspended for two matches if the Football Association uphold the referee's decision.
Boss Gary Bowyer will hand a late fitness test to striker Rudy Gestede, who missed out against Millwall due to a groin injury, but midfielder Liam Feeney is available again after being ineligible to face his parent club.
Winger Ben Marshall is closing in on a return following a long-term ankle injury, but full-back Adam Henley has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to a similar problem.
Will Buckley has been ruled out for Brighton.
The winger limped out of Saturday's 2-0 home defeat by Middlesbrough with a recurrence of the hamstring problem which has hampered him all season and faces another fortnight on the sidelines.
Striker Will Hoskins (calf) and midfielders Andrea Orlandi (thigh) and Andrew Crofts (knee) remain on the injured list while Craig Mackail-Smith will play for the club's under-21s against Charlton on Monday night.
The Scotland forward is still building up his fitness after more than a year out with an Achilles injury.
