Blackburn boss Steve Kean draws a squirrel

Sections of Blackburn fans may accuse Steve Kean of being incompetent of drawing up tactics, but it seems the Rovers boss can pull off a master stroke after all. The under fire manager briefly put aside his day duties of running the Premier League side to sketch an impressive cartoon squirrel for the charity Save Our Squirrels. Under Pressure: Kean's Blackburn sit 19th place in the Premier League The charity's 'Scribble a Squirrel' campaign features a number of celebrities including Kean, Jo Brand, Keith Harris (and Orville) and Kris Marshall showing their artistic skills. Kean's picture, along with 23 others, is on sale at internet auction site Ebay with the Glaswegian's drawing receiving the second highest bid to date with ?52. Kean to help: The Blackburn Rovers manager's cartoon squirrel has proved popular, receiving 14 bids on internet auction site Ebay The 44-year-old is only outdone so far by the Roald Dahl illustrator Quentin Blake, whose sketch has reached ?91.56. The auction ends on October 9 with all money raised in the art based campaign going towards red squirrel conservation in the north of England.
