Best Linked With Rovers Move

There are unconfirmed reports today that Blackburn Rovers have submitted a two million pound bit to Newcastle for Leon Best and that has been accepted.

Celtic were supposed to be the favourites to sign the player but with the uncertainty of the Scottish Premier League at the moment, he could be better off with a move to the Championship.

Newcastle agreed to let the player go this summer as he has slipped so fair down the pecking order at St James Park to the likes of Demba Papiss Cisse, Demba Ba and Shola Ameobi.

Best would be a replacement for Yakubu who looks likely to go to China.
