AVB coy over Sherwood-Rovers link
Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas has admitted coach Tim Sherwood would have a tough decision to make if he was approached to become Blackburn's next manager.
The 43-year-old has been part of the coaching set up at Spurs since 2008, and is currently involved in the youth set up at White Hart Lane in his role as technical co-ordinator. However, he has emerged as one of the potential candidates to replace Steve Kean, who resigned on Friday night to end his tortuous stay at the npower Championship club.
"I can't comment on the Blackburn situation because I have Steve Kean as a friend and I respect him," said Villas-Boas. "But if Tim is a candidate, he has to make a personal decision and speak to the club."
Due to his status as skipper of Blackburn's 1995 Premier League-title winning team, Sherwood has a special place in the affections of the Ewood Park faithful. However, Tottenham are known to be reluctant to lose Sherwood, who has just signed a new contract with the club.
