Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce has again talked up the form of goalkeeper Paul Robinson, who has retired from international football.
The 30-year-old, who called time on his England career after being frustrated at a lack of opportunities under Fabio Capello, impressed in the 1-1 weekend draw with Manchester City.
Afterwards, Allardyce commented: "Robbo is very comfortable with his game and himself at the moment - you could see that in his all-round performance.
"It would be up to Fabio Capello to build bridges and see whether he can talk Paul out of it or not.
"But his performances last season never got him in the squad or to the World Cup, so he felt he wasn't considered capable of playing in the team."
