New Wigan boss Roberto Martinez has reportedly urged his new employers to push through the signing of Espanyol striker Raul Tamudo. The Latics are willing to offer the Spain striker a lucrative three-year deal, but are stalling on paying the £1.7million transfer fee demanded for a 31-year-old player who is out of contract next season - reports Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo. Tamudo has also been linked with Birmingham, Bolton, Portsmouth, Sunderland, Wolves, Hull and Blackburn.
