[LNB]England manager Fabio Capello will be happy to know that the art of English goalkeeping is not dead after past incumbents Paul Robinson and Chris Kirkland, earned chants of 'England's No 1' from their respective fans. [LNB]Robinson's last-gasp save to avoid a Christopher Samba own goal was breathtaking. Kirkland's instinctive block of Benni McCarthy's bicycle kick was equally impressive even if, as his manager Sam Allardyce reflected: 'He knew little about it.' [LNB]Both managers claimed a moral victory but the truth was that a draw was about right for a team with the worst defensive record in the Premier League and one that has scored just seven times in 10 away games.[LNB] Off the mark: McCarthy scored his first goal of the season[LNB] Allardyce insisted: 'Our lads are really disappointed, they know they should have had three points.' [LNB]His Wigan counterpart, Roberto Martinez, retorted: 'We showed theright reaction to going behind and created enough chances to get asecond goal. [LNB]'It's one of those seasons where the points from now on are going tobe bigger than normal. Every small detail, every referee's decisionwill make a huge difference. We are going to enjoy it.' [LNB] Level pegging: Rodallega restores parity[LNB]McCarthy has been criticised in his native South Africa for a badattitude but he responded to Allardyce's call for goals by volleyingRovers in front. [LNB]It took a second-half change of tactics for Wigan to restore thebalance: Charles N'Zogbia and Hugo Rodallega switched flanks and theformer crossed for the latter to head the equaliser. [LNB]Keith Andrews, Samba and McCarthy all came close to clinching whatwould have been only Rovers second away win of the campaign andequally, N'Zogbia and Jordi Gomez might have snatched the points forWigan. [LNB]But as Martinez and Allardyce agreed, both sides are where they arein the Premier League because they do not score often enough.[LNB] Being a Premier League manager is bad for your health, warns MartinezAndy Townsend's Boot Room: What can City do with £14m turkey Toure?WIGAN ATHLETIC FC
