West Brom step up bid to sign Steven Reid permanently from Blackburn

West Brom are ready to step in with a deal for Blackburn midfielder Steven Reid who is out of contract in the summer. [LNB]Reid has been on loan at The Hawthorns and impressed despite initial concerns about his fitness. [LNB]But Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce hopes Morten Gamst Pedersen will sign a new contract within the next few days.
