Wanderers cut season ticket prices

Bolton have followed local rivals Blackburn in slashing season ticket prices for next season. The cost of an adult season ticket has been cut by 11%, tickets for under-21s will see a 39% reduction while those for over-65s will benefit from a saving of 22%. It is the fourth consecutive season that Wanderers have either frozen or reduced season ticket prices and chairman Phil Gartside is optimistic the move will boost attendances at the Reebok Stadium. He said: "Over the past four seasons we have held a series of consultations with our fans about ticket prices and our long-term pricing strategy has been developed as a direct result of these discussions. "We recognise the `life-cycle' of a football supporter and acknowledge that the pricing structure needs to reflect that. We are aware of the challenging economic times and the demands families face, and we have taken on board all those points that were made to us by our supporters which is why we've announced these prices." Blackburn announced earlier on Thursday they are cutting season ticket prices by up to £100 for the 2009/10 campaign.
