Sporting Lisbon's Simon Vukcevic is reportedly close to securing a move to Blackburn Rovers.

Rovers chief Steve Kean targeted the 25-year-old £2million-rated Montenegrin international attacking midfielder having seen his attempts to land PAOK's winger Vierinha hit the buffers. And it appears that the Scot is enjoying more success in his pursuit of Vukcevic, who has fallen out of favour at the Portuguese outfit following four seasons at the Estadio Jose Alvalade.

It is being reported that the former Saturn Moscow Oblast star, who has currently helped Montenegro to second spot behind England in their Euro 2012 qualifying group, will sign a deal at Ewood Park on completion of a successful medical.
