Carlos Villanueva has revealed that he wants to stay at Blackburn when his loan deal expires at the end of the season. The Chile international's comments come despite having yet to make a single Premier League appearance under Rovers boss Sam Allardyce. Signed by ex-manager Paul Ince at the beginning of the campaign from Chilean side Audax Italiano, the 23-year-old remains desperate to secure a permanent move before the summer. Despite his lack of league action the winger remains positive and insists that he has still managed to improve his game in the reserves. "My idea is to stay here, but the truth is that it is not up to me. We'll see what happens because I hope I can be given the chance to stay here," he told El Mercurio. "A new coach is here and I don't know why I could not play in the Premier League. The tactics he uses demand long balls and stronger players. Learning "I am calm. Even though I haven't played so much, I've been learning from such competitive football. "The good point is that I've been playing the reserve and cup matches." Villanueva admits that he has had to adapt his game to suit the Premier League and is now adamant that he can offer the club something in the future. "Here football is very different to Chile because of the dynamism of the game," he added. "The players are faster and stronger. Besides referees do not blow so much and let the game go on, so matches are more intense. "I don't know what I need, but if I have a new chance to play in the Premier (League) I will take it because I'd love staying here."
