Vieri can still cut it - Warnock

The 36-year-old spent a week with Rovers at their training camp in Austria and has now been invited to meet up with the squad again for their tour of Italy and Croatia before returning to Lancashire with the team as manager Sam Allardyce looks to bolster a frontline weakened by the departure of Roque Santa Cruz to Manchester City. Warnock told the Lancashire Telegraph: "Vieri has done very well. He is a fantastic player and his reputation is massive. He has been fantastic, he has shown he is a top player and a top man as well. "He has gelled with the lads very quickly, we have made him feel right at home and we are looking forward to seeing him again next week. "He proved last week at the training camp he has got the ability to finish out of nowhere and he is a very strong player and very awkward to play against. Hopefully he could be a good addition to the squad. I don't think he is too old to play in the Premier League at all." Meanwhile, first-team coach Karl Robinson has left Ewood Park to be reunited with former boss Paul Ince at MK Dons.
