Venkys To Show Off Rovers In Home Town
Blackburn Rovers are to take on Indian side Pune FC as new owners Venkys try to drum up some Indian interest in the club. The match will played at the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi-Mhalunge on July 22nd. Pune, who are based in the same town as Venkys, will be the first Indian side ever to take on a Premier League side from England. 'The game is a landmark encounter for Indian football fans and we are happy to be part of this treat,' said Pune FC Director Nandan Piramal. 'We are excited and honored to be the first team from India to play an EPL team that revolves around inscribing history. It provides a golden opportunity for fans to witness once in a life time event.'
