Tyson ready to wing it
Nathan Tyson insists he will be happy to continue in his wide role against Blackburn in the Carling Cup on Tuesday night.[LNB] The pacy Nottingham Forest striker has been terrorising defences in the Coca-Cola Championship this season as a left winger.[LNB] "Down the middle is my favoured position but I just really enjoy being in the team to be honest and I will play anywhere," he said.[LNB] Tyson returned to the team against Blackpool on Saturday in that position after missing two matches due to the birth of his son.[LNB] The 27-year-old is on record as stating that his preferred role is as a central striker, but ahead of the third round tie at the City Ground, Tyson insists he would just be happy to be in the starting XI against the Barclays Premier League club.[LNB] "I was delighted to get through the 90 minutes on Saturday after missing two games and hopefully I'll get another 90 minutes on Tuesday if I am picked," he added.[LNB] "I am really enjoying playing out wide and you get a lot of service. Sometimes it can be a bit stop-start but when you get the service you can really enjoy it.[LNB] "That is what I look to aim for, to get as many crosses into the box as possible and get a few shots as well. But it is not easy sprinting and crossing, it is all about timing and you have to put the ABS on at times and brake. I'm enjoying seeing a lot of the ball and I just want to have as big an impact on the game as I can."[LNB] Tyson last week pleaded guilty to a Football Association charge of improper conduct following his flag-waving antics against east midlands rivals Derby at the end of August and has now apologised for the incident. He revealed he is preparing for the worst as he waits for a personal hearing with the FA.[LNB] "I am quite embarrassed about what I did," Tyson added. "I was always going to hold my hands up and when it happened I was very apologetic but I decided to keep my mouth shut. I am genuinely sorry. I fear the worst and anything else is a bonus. I want to play as many games as I can before the hearing and see where we go from there."
